Wheelchair Minibus

Wheelchair Minibus

There are over three quarters of a million people in the United Kingdom who use a wheelchair on a daily basis. These folks struggle to find reliable transportation, equipped to meet their needs. At Swinton Travel, we understand the needs of the handicapped community, and provide specially equipped and converted buses to ensure that everyone is able to get around.

Our friendly staff has been expertly trained on the equipment and operation of vehicles converted for handicapped use, and will help you get to your destination in or around Manchester. We understand the travel difficulties that our disabled friends and family can face on a daily basis. We’ve worked hard to provide accommodations and protocols to assist handicapped Manchester citizens and visitors; something we take great pride in.

Whether attending a match at Old Trafford or just taking in the nightlife and culture of Manchester, we are equipped to meet the special needs of your family. Our buses have the capability to transport an entire family, including up to two wheelchairs at a time.

Unlike other specialty transportation available, our buses are equipped with four-point webbing restraints, which allow the passenger to ride comfortably, faced forward. You won’t be awkwardly facing backwards while riding with us. Our buses also include three point fitted seatbelts. Each bus is equipped with state-of-the-art lifts, providing easy access for riders and their wheelchairs.
We’ll work with you to make sure that you enjoy safe, comfortable travel to your destination in Manchester.
